Rooney Pitchford

As Chief of Staff at Ensemble VC, Rooney Pitchford is the backbone of Ensemble VC’s investor relations, marketing, and management company operations. Rooney acts as investor liaison, oversees capital formation, and drives the firm's day-to-day administrative program.

Rooney honed his skills at Makena Capital Management, a $20B endowment provider founded by former executives of the Stanford Management Company. There, he conducted LP portfolio analysis and account management, specializing in asset allocation modeling, liquidity planning, and private asset deployment. Rooney worked closely with U.S. endowments, sovereign wealth funds, and elite family offices across Europe and Asia.

Rooney grew up in Atherton, CA, and has called Austin home for over ten years. Away from work, Rooney enjoys taking in Austin’s live music scene and occasionally “getting the old band back together.” He and his wife live in South Austin.
